Privacy and cookies

The site does not ask you to register and only processes the technical data it needs to work. Here we explain in detail what happens.

This is an English translation of the Italian privacy policy, which is the reference text.

Who processes the data

The data controller is Matteo Dolciotti. For any request about your data, write to goalgarage@gmail.com.

What data we collect and why

You do not need to register to read the site and we do not ask for your name, email or other personal data. The service that hosts the site (Cloudflare, Inc.) records technical data about each request (IP address, page requested, date and time, browser type) in the server logs.

• Purpose: security and proper functioning of the site.
• Legal basis: legitimate interest of the controller (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Retention: for the period set by the hosting provider (Cloudflare, Inc.), as stated in its privacy policy.
• Recipients: the hosting provider (Cloudflare, Inc.), which processes the data on our behalf and may also process it in the United States, where it participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, recognised as adequate by the European Commission.

What we store in your browser

We store only one thing in your browser (local storage, not cookies), and only after you act: tp:tema, the theme you chose (light or dark), which stays until you delete it. It is only used to remember your choice: it stays on your device, we do not read it and we do not send it to anyone. You can delete it at any time from your browser settings.

Third-party services

Fonts. The fonts on the pages (Newsreader and Barlow Condensed) are loaded from Google Fonts servers (Google LLC). To do this your browser sends Google your IP address and some technical information; no cookies are used. Legal basis: legitimate interest in displaying the site in a readable and consistent way (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Google may also process this data in the United States, where it participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, recognised as adequate by the European Commission.

Advertising. The site does not currently show advertising: no ads are loaded and no data is sent to advertising networks. If we turn advertising on in the future, we will update this page and ask for consent where required.

Visit statistics. The site does not use analytics tools with cookies.

If you write to us

If you write to us by email, we use your address and the content of the message only to reply. Legal basis: legitimate interest in answering requests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We keep messages for as long as needed to handle the request and then delete them. The mailbox is managed by an external email provider, which processes the data on our behalf.

Your rights

You have the right to request access to your data, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, and to object to processing. You can write to goalgarage@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).
